Fall 2024 Update
Happy fall everyone! There are so many things to love about this time of year, and every autumn I am reminded why it is my favourite season. I don’t think the fall colours will ever fail to amaze me!
This said, I also find myself bracing for the inevitable cold winter months that follow. And this year, many of us may also find ourselves bracing in anticipation of more metaphorical stormy weather, both at-home and globally.
I find myself returning to notion of duality; the ‘both/and’ rather than the ‘either/or’. I find some comfort in giving up the battle in deciding whether things are “good” or “bad”, and in giving as much space to the moments of joy, love, confidence, excitement, and awe, as I do the moments of fear, rage, panic, dread, and dismay. In fact, the energy that I would spend fighting to feel the way that I think I “should” feel is far better spent re-committing to embodying the values that are important to me.
If you find yourself in a similar battle, or if you are feeling a bit anxious, lost, or hopeless, please reach out to us to work with one of our team members. Our therapists are, first and foremost, people too, and while we certainly don’t have all the answers (if only!), we can help in guiding and facilitating your journey to feel more equipped in navigating life’s challenging parts AND appreciating life’s amazing parts.
Claire Beaulne and Melanie Crane are both accepting new clients for virtual individual psychotherapy (you can read more about them here). Additionally, Katherine Wilson (hi!) is offering adult ADHD assessments, and details will be posted soon on our website. If you are interested in working with any of our team members, please reach out to Chenia by email (admin@mintleafclinic.com) or by phone (613-223-5613). Or, you can fill out an intake form directly from our contact page, and Chenia will be in touch shortly to talk through next steps.
As always, I look forward to our next steps as a growing clinic.
